Want to register for Area League? Or, start a team?
Clubs can be one team or many teams. The number of teams you organize is up to you! There is nothing better than affiliating yourself with an organization that offers Power League, Area League and Non League, Junior Olympic and special events for your teams. Many of these are events are run in state of the art convention centers with online (and live!) score reporting, live online video of championship matches and more! Here are a few of the perks of being an NCVA affiliated club:

Additional Tournaments offered every month that range from two days to four days of play. All held in convention centers.
Power League gives you the opportunity to earn a regional bid to the USA Volleyball Junior Olympic Championships.

Insurance for all registered members - players, coaches, club staff and anyone else that chooses to become a member

Coaches' continuing education opportunities
Power League
Power League tournaments will be offered in the following age groups: 18, 17, 16, 15, 14
All Power League tournaments are provided referees
Points will be awarded to all teams participating in the Power League.
The League consists of a two-day Qualifier, four League tournaments, and a two-day Region Championship.
Both the Qualifier and Region Championship are held in convention centers
These tournaments are mandatory, which means that a team entering this League will play eight mandatory days.
Upon registering for the League, a team will automatically be entered into each League event.
Teams entering the League will be divided into divisions (Gold, Silver, Bronze, etc.) and age groups based on results from the Qualifier.
The format for these divisions will be determined by the number of teams entered.
Travel is required for this League.
The deadline to enter/pay for the League online is 5:00 PM on Monday, September 14, 2009.
A team may choose to enter the League event after the Qualifier, but they will be entered at the lowest level and only if space is available.
Points will be awarded to each team based on their results.
If a team either No Shows, Cancels or Forfeits a tournament, they will receive last place points for that tournament and take the last seed in that division and additional sanction will/can be applied.
Play will begin at 8:30 a.m.
Each match is the best two-out-of-three sets to 25 points in the first two sets and to 15 points in the third set, if necessary.
All sets will use rally scoring with no cap.
Based on format pools may be play all 3 sets to 25 Points.
After pool play, teams will advance to playoff brackets.
2009-2010 League Qualifier & Region Championships
The Qualifier & Region Championships will both be held at the San Mateo Event Center
Qualifier – September 26-27, 2009
Region Championships – December 12-13, 2009
During the Region championships an All-League team will be chosen based on the entire season of play. The All-League Ballot Form is located in the Boys Handbook
